Red Earth Saga

Apparently I did not upload all the episodes I had back logged so that I could put out the new one when my computer was down. I have my laptop but they do not have the files. Im hoping that I can have my computer back up and running soon, and then post another one. But the work on the house is going great once that is done, I can churn them out like butter.

I have been working on the rules for my game. I sketched up a character sheet too. Now i just need to digitally make one.

I know im going to have an episode over this, but im having a lot of fun writing this. I know some parts are more tedious than others, but it is still fun to think im creating rules so people can play a game i made. Thats hot. I’m not sure if im going to have just the core mechanics or enough for the GMs too, but I was thinking on having as much in now, so that when I post them to have other try it, they can give me a better picture of what needs work.

In the next episode, that will be dropping soon, I will be talking about the Mega Corporations in this first milestone of the RES universe. I have several setup that are very large key players. But wondering if I should eventually setup things for the players to create their own mega corp. Now let me restate that, this would not be available on the first run of the game, probably not even on the second run.  But if they players could make their own corp and think of other ways to create influence in the world/universe why should I stop them?

That could be like a Total war, where I have a seperat turn, and what your coporation does for the set number of years that a turn takes, is what you have to work with, and then your charaters play through the game with those set resources. That makes for almost a cool civ feel to me. But is that to much book keeping, and do people want that? I know some will, but what is the demand for something like this?

This episode is all about the first major plot point in the Red Earth Saga time line. As I describe in the episode this information is on the baseline universe. In the next episode I will further describe the Mega Corporations in the world at this time. If I do not run over on time, I will describe more in detail the new countries.

iTunes will shortly be live with my feed. With feedburner, I have made sure that my feed is compatible with all feed catchers. I will be soon putting up links on the site so you can subscribe with your favorite service. Also if you do your own podcast feedburner is amazing. you can see so much info. plus you know what are bots, what are the applications, and who is actually subscribing and/or just downloading. Next project is to get yet another episode up and to get Google Analytics up.

This is the standard primer episode. I just discuss the things that will be changing on the feed. I will be talking about new things and a lot more things. I still want to hear from you the listener by comments or emails. I will actually be having show notes but since this is only six minutes long, there’s not much to note about.
Feedburner seems to be up, and I do believe powerpress is up, so lets see if this works.

It appears that with having no feed, iTunes has dropped the original RES feed. That’s expected, so I am with feedburner now, and powerpress. I have only used podpress previously and this is similar, but I need to make sure I have this right. One thing that is nice about feedburner is that everything goes through it, that means its easy for me to keep the feed if things change.

Some of the new stuff that google is comming out with is awesome. I think I will also install google analytics tomorrow. That is some nice software, if you have a site and
want to know real traffic numbers that’s the thing to have. check it out at Google Analytics. Now I just have to remember how I installed it in the first place.

I am currently working on getting the feed back up and the episodes on the old feed. I’m sure this can be done. The other thing I noticed is that the old libsyn site is still up. Odd, becuase I stopped paying for it along time ago, but it is still there. So if you see .libsyn.com you are at the wrong site. Im also made sure that you can tell the two apart.

Just to let you guys know that the site is back up. Well if your reading this on my site I guess you know. I am working on a few things, getting the layout and the feel down. I will continue to post updates on what is going on with the site. I will be working with a few people on some projects, and if I need help I may put out a call to the people.

I thank you, if you previously listened to the show. I have made some changes to the format. I have a new ep 1 that will be put up shortly and already have a back catalog ready. I have a lot of projects and hope to evolve the site, story and the game. I hope to bring the listeners back and make people imaginations go wild.

I am also going to be using a new plugin for the podcast. Powerpress, This is my first time using this plugin and hope that it is easy and reliable. I know that the other site had some good things on it, but do to hosting problems I messed up the site. I am starting a lot of things over, but feel like im starting from a much more stable foundation, this time around.
